FUNDAMENTALS FOR BEGINNERS |
Beginners Session - This session is for first time players as an introduction to the sport of basketball. The Beginners session is designed to help young athletes learn all of the fundamentals in a positive atmosphere with no pressure or fear of making mistakes. The emphasis of this session is on building a foundation of skills while building confidence in young athletes.
Players will be introduced to:
- Triple Threat position
- Dribbling with both hands
- Passing (chest pass / bounce pass / overhead pass / baseball pass)
- Proper shooting technique
- Jump stops / Pivots / Footwork
- Proper defensive stance
